National Nuclear Laboratory announced as new Industry Partner for IDN

August 2023

Inclusion and Diversity in Nuclear (IDN) is delighted to announce National Nuclear Laboratory (NNL) as one of our new industry partners for 2023.

IDN has grown exponentially over the last four years. To facilitate this continuing growth, we made a call for wider support from our colleagues in the industry to support our goals.

Statement from NNL: At NNL, the most important asset for future success is its people. The world-leading laboratory is fortunate to be gifted with some of the most creative and inspired scientific minds in our sector, in the world.

To help us meet the opportunities of the new nuclear landscape, NNL is building a culture where everybody feels valued and can flourish, and a reputation as a home for stimulating, rewarding careers. People are the currency of the nuclear landscape so NNL’s ethos is to cultivate diversity, innovation and collaboration across everything they do.

Mary Erlund, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Manager at NNL, said: “We understand the importance of collaborating with others across the sector, ensuring that a career in nuclear is open to everyone. NNL is therefore delighted to be working with IDN this year, whose vision of inclusivity and supporting diversity marries with our own.”

IDN co-founder Monica Mwanje said: “We are pleased that NNL is a new partner for 2023. Their network, with capabilities and teams across several disciplines, will be instrumental in helping IDN to accelerate change towards a truly inclusive nuclear industry.”
