About Inclusion and Diversity in Nuclear 

In 2019 IDN started as a group on LinkedIn, to share news, information and resources on Inclusion, and the beneficial impact that increased inclusion has on organisations. 

In an industry that is still dominated by a limited demographic, a drive to foster inclusion in the nuclear industry in the UK was much needed, and long overdue.  

The LinkedIn group was very popular, with calls to create a fully-fledged initiative and a wider platform to share resources, hold events and to make connections within the industry and beyond. 

Our first Conference in 2019 was a success, attracted a global audience and became an annual event. Our 2020 and 2021 conferences during the pandemic were well-attended with a global audience. As such, our annual conferences will remain a hybrid event going forward.  

Our main objective remains the same as in 2019: to support organisations, leaders, and managers and individuals within the nuclear industry to foster DE&I in their respective teams and working environments.
