Monica Mwanje

Managing Director

Monica Mwanje brings over 21 years’ delivery experience gained primarily in the civil nuclear sector. She started her career as a graduate chemical engineer, over time progressing into business development and strategic roles.

In 2015 she founded MM Creative Solutions (MMCS). MMCS provides strategic consultancy services for organisations seeking growth and transformation in nuclear and other regulated sectors.

Alongside this in 2019 Monica co-founded the Inclusion and Diversity in Nuclear (IDN) Initiative. In 2021 she incorporated IDN as a nonprofit company, becoming the sole founder and Managing Director of IDN in its current form. IDN is a fast-growing, solution focused organisation highlighting the importance of workplace inclusion, diversity and equity across the industry and the benefits it can bring.  IDN provides evidence-based resources and training to educate, undertakes research, facilitates conversations amongst stakeholders and advises on meaningful steps to engage, retain and propel change for the current and future workforce.

Monica is also a Board Director and Steering Group Member for the Northern Nuclear Alliance, an External Advisory Board Member for the EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Fusion Energy (Fusion CDT), an advisory board member for Deep Isolation, an advisor to Racial Equality in Nuclear UK, and a trustee for a youth charity.
