What are microaggressions, and why do they matter in the workplace?

Microaggressions, subtle, often unintentional comments or actions, can have a significant impact on workplace culture, employee wellbeing, and organisational inclusion. Left unaddressed, they can contribute to feelings of exclusion, lower morale, and even legal risk.

In this 90-minute online workshop, Jasmine Gartner, social anthropologist and experienced trainer, will guide participants through what microaggressions are, where they come from, and how to respond to them effectively and respectfully.

What to Expect

Through a mix of guided discussion and practical tools, you’ll gain:

  • A deeper awareness and sensitivity to microaggressions
  • Practical strategies for addressing and preventing them
  • Confidence in navigating difficult conversations with empathy and respect

This session is ideal for HR professionals, managers, team leaders, and anyone committed to fostering a more inclusive and respectful workplace.

Please note: This workshop will not be recorded to ensure a safe and open learning environment.
