WHAT: This webinar explored common policies benefitting working parents in the workplace.


Dr Emma Waltham specialises in supporting organisations to help them re-engage their parental returners, through coaching, training and return-to-work consultancy. Emma started her career in STEM and has a chemistry PhD. Before taking a maternity break, Emma worked as a director in a variety of sectors. She has extensive, first-hand expertise in business transformation and leadership. Following her maternity break, Emma gained a Certificate in Coaching with the University of Cambridge. She has worked as a consultant, trainer and executive coach since 2015. Organisations Emma is currently working with include BAM Nuttall, General Dental Council, Frazer Nash Consultancy, GE Healthcare, GWR, Petrofac and UK Power Networks. 

Callum Thomas, Our Co-Founder

Callum Thomas is the founder and CEO of Thomas Thor Associates, a recruitment, executive search and HR consulting organisation dedicated exclusively to the global nuclear industry and with offices across Europe, North America and the Middle East. Having worked in the nuclear industry across more than 30 countries, Callum has a global perspective on human resources and capacity building within nuclear. He is passionate about achieving inclusion and diversity in the global nuclear workforce. Callum consults for the IAEA in the areas of Human Resource Development and Knowledge Management and sits on the UK’s Next Generation Nuclear Industry Council.

Neil Bell has been a Project Manager for Cavendish Nuclear for 4 years. He is a single dad to two sons (5 years and 3 years). In his spare time, Neil likes to go for walks with his dogs, keep fit, paint, and play warhammer.

Paul White, the CEO of Hidden Disabilities Sunflower, joined us and delivered a keynote presentation, discussing ways in which organisations can become more mindful and supportive of colleagues with hidden disabilities.

The webinar “Supporting Black Professionals in Nuclear” was hosted in honour of Black History Month.

The aim of the webinar was to provide practical tips to support Black employees and colleagues by discussing practical ways to boost recruitment, aid retention, and inclusion.
